Bacolod cops seize P68.97M in drugs under Aliño’s watch

The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) reported a P68.97 million drug haul in the first six months of Col. Noel Aliño as city police director from April 18 to Oct. 18.

They conducted 253 anti-illegal drug operations, arresting 310 individuals, and confiscated 10.14 kilograms of suspected shabu in the past six months, the BCPO reported Friday, October 20.

They also arrested 100 most wanted persons and 194 other wanted persons.

Meanwhile, the Bacolod police arrested 409 individuals in 123 anti-illegal gambling operations and seized P32,400 worth of bet money.

The BCPO also confiscated 26 firearms and arrested 25 individuals.

The report also said that there were 24 unrenewed licensed firearms deposited with the BCPO, while 61 loose firearms were surrendered to the police.*
