Bacolod cops seize P1.8M in shabu, arrest three high-value suspects

Three high-value drug suspects were arrested while more than P1.8 million worth of suspected shabu was seized in back-to-back operations in Bacolod City Wednesday evening, April 15.

Police said the operations led to the confiscation of around 270 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P1,836,000.

In the first operation, two suspects identified as alias “Ar,” 26, and alias “Van,” 38, were arrested in Brgy. Tangub.

Authorities recovered around 150 grams of suspected shabu worth P1,020,000, along with additional sachets, bags, a motorcycle, cellular phone, and buy-bust money.

In a follow-up operation, another suspect identified as alias “Rus,” 22, was arrested in Brgy. 2.

Police seized about 120 grams of suspected shabu valued at P816,000, along with sachets, plastic bags, a pouch, and buy-bust money.

Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared.*
