The police seized about P680,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested two alleged drug personalities in a buy-bust operation at Purok Lilang, Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, on Tuesday, Sept. 16.
The suspects were an 18-year-old male, tagged as a high-value individual from Brgy. Tangub, and a 26-year-old woman from Brgy. Banago, the police reported.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office, acting on reports from residents and a confidential informant, carried out surveillance before setting up the sting.
A poseur-buyer was able to purchase a sachet of suspected shabu, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Recovered were one sachet of suspected shabu used in the transaction, 13 more sachets in the suspects’ possession, a marked P1,000 bill, and other non-drug items.
Police estimated the haul at 100 grams with a standard drug price of P680,000.
The suspects are now detained at Police Station 3 while the confiscated items were turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit for examination.*
