Baciwa-PrimeWater injects 5 MLD to boost water supply

PrimeWater, with its joint venture partner, Bacolod City Water District (BACIWA), injected an additional    5 MLD (million liters per day) of water from the Bocal-Bocal Spring in Brgy Alangilan, Bacolod, into its distribution system, on Friday, May 31.

This project targets to enhance the water supply and pressure in barangays 27, 28, 29, 30, Villamonte, Villa Angela Subdivision, Hervias 1 and  2, Villa Ramos, La Salle Avenue, and Eroreco in Bacolod City, Baciwa-PrimeWater announced.

PrimeWater is conducting continuous water pressure monitoring and system adjustment to ensure pressure will be increased in those areas, the Baciwa-Prime Water statement said.

Technical teams are also being  proactively deployed to address leakages and broken pipes brought about by the change of pressure in the pipelines, it added.

“We are consistently looking for solutions to address the water supply requirements of the city, and we remain committed to serving the needs of our customers in Bacolod,” Farah Jenny Monteclaro, PrimeWater branch manager, said.*
