Army inaugurates radio station 

The 3rd Infantry Division of the Philippine Army inaugurated the P3.2 million Camp Peralta Radio Broadcasting Station (RBS) or “Kalinong Radio” at Camp Gen Macario B. Peralta Jr. in Jamindan, Capiz, on Thursday, June 13. 

The new facility aims to serve not only as a medium for military communication but also to enhance the 3ID’s communication capabilities, enabling more effective information dissemination and public service broadcasting, a press release from the 3ID. 

The radio station is a partnership between 3ID and K5 Broadcasting Company. 

The inauguration was led by BGen. Leonardo Peña and K5 Chief Executive Officer Ramel Uy. 

Peña thanked Uy for being a valuable partner and emphasized the significance of the collaboration with 5K Broadcasting Company, saying that it would significantly enhance the 3ID’s ability to communicate effectively within the military and with the civilian population. 

 Uy expressed gratitude to the 3ID and assured them that he would make every effort to deliver quality public service to the people. 

“I dream of ensuring that every Filipino is well-informed with credible news and information about our beloved country. I am beyond grateful to the Philippine Army for allowing me to make this dream a reality,” Uy said. 

The newly inaugurated RBS is expected to offer various radio programs to increase community awareness on peace and security, fostering better relations in support to the achievement of the overall mission of the 3ID, the press release said.*
