The Philippine Army helped boost the coronavirus information campaign of Bacolod City amid its rising number of cases.

The Army’s 303rd Infantry Brigade with the local government unit and the Bacolod City Police Office conducted a two-day “recorida (a mobile sound system mounted on vehicle)” on June 3 to 4 in areas of the city where there is a prevalence of COVID-19 cases.

The areas are barangays Villamonte, Estefania, Taculing, Banago, Bata and Singcang-Airport.

The information campaign aims to increase awareness and remind the community of the need for the strict implementation of minimum health protocols and that home isolation will not be allowed.

The Army detailed the COVID-19 symptoms and reminded residents that they can avail of free medical consultation and swabbing at the Bacolod Respiratory Outpatient Center located at the BAYS Center.

While doing their rounds in the city, the state troopers spotted violators, who were not wearing their face masks, and instructed them to follow minimum health protocols against COVID-19 to curb the spread of the virus.*
