
Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) and farmers’ associations from various parts of Negros Occidental have joined Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) in celebrating its 3rd University Foundation Week, which ends on Saturday, May 17.
Employees, students, and guests are showing their support for CHMSU’s partners by purchasing fresh produce and locally made products displayed across three campuses, a press release from the university said.
The Balogo Farmers Association and the Villa Carolina Agrarian Reform Cooperative of Talisay City showcased their products at the Talisay Campus Dining Hall for the 5th Farmer’s Market Day: Farm to Table Livelihood Expo on Thursday.
The event was organized by the Center for Internationalization and External Relations in collaboration with the Sugar Industry Foundation Inc.
At the Fortune Towne Campus, the Mailum Organic Village Association of Bago City is selling locally grown and roasted coffee, along with fresh fruits and vegetables, throughout the week.
Meanwhile, the 4H Anahan Integrated Young Farmers and Workers Association of Hinigaran is offering fertilizers, plants, fruits, and vegetables at the Binalbagan Campus until Friday, May 16.*PR
