Alvarez moves for revival of CENRO Sipalay

Rep. Mercedes Alvarez (Neg. Occ., 6th District) met with  officials of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources in a move to revive the City Environment and Natural Resources Office in Sipalay City.

Alvarez met with DENR-6 Acting Director Raul Lorilla, Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer (PENRO) Joan Nathaniel Gerangaya, Kabankalan Acting CENRO Wilfred Canto, and Acting Bago CENRO Rosievel Dimatulac to discuss the revival of CENRO-Sipalay, a PENRO press release said.

It said that the revival of CENRO-Sipalay is a critical step in strengthening environmental management and ensuring more efficient and localized service delivery in the area.

The meeting was highlighted with the awarding of a Special Patent to CENRO Sipalay, formalizing land ownership and management of the city.

Alvarez said she is committed to supporting initiatives that promote environmental stewardship and sustainable development in the 6th District.

Meanwhile, Rene Abordo was installed as the new CENRO officer of Cadiz City on Monday, Sept. 2.

Abordo replaced outgoing CENRO Mamad Gandarosa Jr.*
