An alleged drug personality was shot dead at Highway Sumakwel, Brgy. 2, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, Wednesday night, October 18.
Fritz Gerald Cantero, 25, was shot by two unidentified suspects, Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon, San Carlos City Police chief, told DIGICAST NEGROS .
The victim was sitting on the side of the road when his assailants shot him several times.
Mesahon said that the victim was an alleged drug personality.
The possible motive could be a disagreement with friends engaged in the illegal drug trade, he said.
The victim was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The suspects fled toward Calatrava and the police chief said they are now coordinating with the Calatrava Police Station to identify and possibly arrest the suspects.*
