The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office announced the official assumption of Timmar J. Alam as full-fledged provincial director effective May 7.
Alam previously served as officer-in-charge provincial director before his official designation to the post.
The Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office said the appointment recognized Alam’s service record, operational leadership, and commitment to peace and order, public safety, and community service in the province.
During his stint as OIC provincial director, authorities said Alam led intensified anti-criminality operations, strengthened law enforcement initiatives, and improved coordination with local government units and partner agencies across Negros Oriental.
Police also credited his leadership for sustaining police-community relations and promoting professionalism and discipline within the organization.
In a statement, Alam thanked the leadership of the Philippine National Police, local officials, partner agencies, and personnel of the Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office for their support and trust.
“I am deeply honored by the trust and responsibility entrusted to me,” Alam said.
“As Provincial Director, I remain committed to leading with integrity, professionalism, and dedication in ensuring the safety and security of every Negrense,” he added.
Alam also emphasized unity, discipline, and teamwork in sustaining the organization’s accomplishments and improving public service delivery in the province.*
