
More than 700 Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) and Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) cops were promoted during the simultaneous oath taking, donning and pinning of ranks for the second level uniformed personnel on Thursday, Feb. 6.
A total of 527 police personnel were promoted in a ceremony at the NOCPPO headquarters in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City.
Of the 527, there were 475 NOCPPO personnel, while the others were from various national support units of the Philippine National Police.
Among those promoted were four from the PNP Aviation Group, two from the Anti-Kidnapping Group, six from the Maritime Group, two from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and 38 from Regional Mobile Force Battalion, a press release from NOCPPO said.
Meanwhile, 217 BCPO personnel, including 208 police non-commissioned officers and nine commissioned officers, were promoted during a ceremony at the BCPO Multipurpose Gym in Bacolod City.
Among the promoted commissioned officers were Maj. Rondyl Tapang, Capt. Ramie Sayson, Capt. Jay-r Reyes, Lt. Rey Julius Betio, Lt. Meller Dionio, Lt. Floredith Garinganao, Lt. Rodolfo Lopez, Jr., Lt. Raphael Palacios, and Lt. Geovanne Timbas.
The promotion ceremonies were conducted simultaneously across all provincial and city police offices under Police Regional Office 6.*
