A 61-year-old laborer was found dead inside his residence in Escalante City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 1.
The Escalante City Component Police Station identified the victim only as alias “Sendo,” a resident of Purok Paradise, Brgy. Alimango.
Police said the victim’s brother discovered him unresponsive inside the house at around 5:30 p.m. after repeatedly calling him and receiving no response.
Responding personnel later found the body lying inside the residence and already in an advanced state of decomposition.
Police said an initial visual examination found no apparent signs of foul play.
The Escalante police requested the City Health Office to conduct a post-mortem examination to determine the cause of death.*
