About 50 empty shells of 5.56mm caliber guns and various live ammunition were recovered in the area where four members of a family were killed in Sitio Kankiling, Brgy. Buenavista, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.

PCapt. Arturo Magallo Jr., Deputy for Administration of the Himamaylan City Police Station, said it is possible that the suspects used high-powered guns.

Multiple gunshots led to the death of Rolly Fausto, 52, his wife Emilda, 49, and their sons Ben, 11, and Raben, 15.

Emily, the only surviving child of the family, said that her family had been residing in the area for about 11 years and her father has roots in Basay, Negros Oriental.

The police have been coordinating with the Army and barangay council of Brgy. Buenavista to help identify people who can give more information on the killing, Magallo said.
