416 curfew violators arrested in NegOr

There were 416 curfew violators apprehended in Negros Oriental during the weekend, October 28 and 29, ahead of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections.

The Special Task Force Negros Oriental imposed the province-wide curfew two days before Election Day to prevent violence and vote buying.

The curfew was in effect from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. from Saturday to Sunday and from Sunday to Monday.

Curfew violators were detained and released at 5 a.m. the following day.

There were no reports of violence in Negros Oriental on Election Day.*
