A 4-year-old girl drowned in a swimming pool at a resort in Brgy Old Poblacion, Escalante City, Negros Occidental, Saturday, February 3.
The victim was a resident of Sitio Banaba in Brgy Old Poblacion.
The victim and her family were celebrating the birthday of her cousin and she was in the kiddie pool of the resort.
Her guardian and the family did not notice that she drowned and found her floating in the pool.
The victim was brought to the Vicente Gustilo District Hospital in Escalante City but after several attempts to revive her, she passed away in the emergency room.*
