A series of stabbing and shooting incidents left four people dead in the Fifth District of Negros Occidental from Friday to Sunday, June 2 to 4, the police reported.
Dennis Cornelio, 30, was allegedly stabbed to death after a heated argument in Brgy. Mansalanao, La Castellana town, early Sunday morning.
The police said the suspects identified as Willie Hilado and Roggie Hilado together with the victim were attending a wake and got into a heated argument but were pacified by the family.
When the victim went home, the suspects allegedly followed him and stabbed him to death, the police added.
The La Castellana police are still conducting a pursuit operation for the arrest of the suspects.
Another stabbing incident was also reported on Friday morning in Brgy. Camalobalo in Hinigaran town.
The police identified the victim as Federico Bautista, 51, of Brgy. Nato in La Castellana.
Bautista was found lifeless with multiple stabbed wounds on his back at Sitio Nasuli of Brgy. Camalobalo.
The suspect is still unidentified, the police said.
Meanwhile, two separate shooting incidents were reported in Himamaylan City and Isabela.
Renante Marfil, 33, was allegedly shot by Jose Ebien Prado, 52, of Brgy. Cabcab, Isabela, Saturday afternoon, the police reported.
The suspect shot the victim with a homemade 12-gauge shotgun hitting his head, the police said.
The suspect is detained at the Isabela Police Station for proper disposition.
In Himamaylan City, an unidentified suspect allegedly shot Micheal Soledad, 36, of Brgy. Carabalan, Friday, the police reported.
The victim was having a drinking session with his friends when an unidentified person arrived and talked to his wife and after a while, the suspect went to the victim and shot him without any provocation, the police said.
The police are still searching for the suspect.*
