Four persons were injured when a truck bumped a motorcycle at a zigzag road and fell off a cliff in Brgy. Caliling, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, Tuesday, June 25.
The truck driven by Francis Oyos, 54, of Pasay City fell down a 20-foot cliff, the police reported.
His passenger Bernard Bohos of Bacolod City was injured.
Tricycle driver Roger Catacata and his passengers Paolo Limaco and Arnel Belnas of Brgy. Tuyom, all sustained minor injuries, the police report said.
The truck driver, who said his brakes failed, is detained at the Cauayan Police Station.
Cauayan Police Chief, Maj. Ryan Gary Alan Resuma, told DIGICAST NEGROS that both parties agreed to a settlement and as of Wednesday no charges were filed against the truck driver.*
