4, including two teenagers, injured in stabbing, hacking

Four individuals, including two teenagers, were injured in separate stabbing and hacking incidents in two Negros Occidental cities on Sunday, February 11.

The police reported that three males aged 24, 19 and 16 were injured after a 19-year-old suspect allegedly stabbed them at a fiesta in Sitio Urbasa, Brgy. Mabini, Escalante City, early Sunday morning.

The suspect and the victims were dancing inside the plaza when a heated argument and a fistfight ensued. The suspect allegedly then took a pointed object hitting the victims.

The victims were rushed to Vicente Gustilo District Hospital while the suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police.

Meanwhile, a 57-year-old man was also wounded after a 46-year-old suspect allegedly hacked him in Hacienda Rosario, Brgy. E. Lopez in Silay City.

The victim was cleaning a piggery when the suspect arrived and hacked him on his shoulder.

The victim was brought to the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, while the suspect escaped.

The police recovered a 20-inch bolo with scabbard and a 12-inch knife.*
