Three farmers sustained hack wounds in Murcia and San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, Sept. 21.
A 35-year-old farmer was hacked by a 66-year-old man in Hacienda Cabarles, Brgy. Damsite, Murcia.
Police investigation revealed that the suspect, who was believed to be drunk, went to the house of the victim and challenged him to a fight.
They had a heated argument and the hacking ensued resulting in both of them sustaining hack wounds.
Meanwhile, another farmer was injured in the neck and shoulder after his brother hacked him in Sitio Talangan, Brgy. Rizal, San Carlos City, also on Saturday.
They were having a drinking session when a heated argument ensued between them resulting in the hacking, the police said.
The victim was brought to the San Carlos City Hospital, while the suspect fled, the police said.*
