The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office awarded “Medalla ng Papuri” or PNP Commendation Medals to three police officers during their flag raising and awarding ceremony at the NOCPPO Grandstand at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr., Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Monday, June 10.
The awardees were LtCol. Edison Garcia, CMS Ricardo Consulta III, and CMS Lino Pernales.
They were given the commendation medals for their successful manhunt operation as members of the 1st Negros Occidental Provincial Mobile Force Company.
This operation led to the serving of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder against a Provincial Most Wanted Person in Brgy. Punao, San Carlos City.
NOCPPO Director Rainerio De Chavez, together with the command group, bestowed the commendation medals to the awardees.*
