251 Bacolod policemen,18 officers, promoted

A total of 269 Bacolod policemen, 18 of whom are officers, have been promoted to the next higher rank.

Lt. Col. Sherlock Gabana, Bacolod City Police Office spokesperson, said the 13 newly promoted police captains are:

*Francis Depasucat – Police Station 1 deputy chief;

*Jonito Pastrana – Police Station 2 OIC;

*Edward Bolivar – Police Station 3 deputy chief;

*Greeky Cayao – Police Station 4 deputy chief;

*Melvin Mercado – Police Station 5 deputy chief;

*Dax Santillan – Police Station 6 OIC;

*Andy Ofalia – Police Station 6 deputy chief;

*Michael Tuburan – Police Station 10 deputy chief;

*Hazel Oropel – City Administrative Resource Management Unit assistant chief;

*Lelanie Lagoting – Human Resource and Development Division OIC;

*Christine Cerbo – City Investigation and Detective Management Unit assistant chief;

*Lanie Deriada – City Police Strategy Management Unit assistant chief; and

*Portia Nillosan – Women and Children Protection Desk OIC.

Promoted to police major are:

*Armilyn Vargas – Police Station 3 acting chief;

*John Christopher Masangkay- Police Station 5 acting chief; and

*Elmer Bonilla – Police Station 7 acting chief.

The newly promoted police lieutenants are Santiago Gaitan – City Executive Senior Police Officer and Jose Rollo of the Mobile Patrol Unit.

Of the 251 police non-commissioned officers promoted, 89 were from patrolmen to corporals, 104 from corporals to staff sergeants, 27 from staff sergeants to master sergeants, 13 master sergeants to senior master sergeants, 11 senior master sergeants to chief master sergeants, and 7 chief master sergeants to executive master sergeants, Gabana said.*
