A joint greyhound operation and random drug testing by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency–Negros Island Region and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology yielded all negative results at the Metro Bacolod District Jail–Male Dormitory on Thursday, Aug. 28.
Authorities said 52 male and 10 female BJMP personnel, along with 160 male Persons Deprived of Liberty, were tested. All 222 turned out negative for illegal drug use.
No illegal drugs or contraband were recovered during the operation.
PDEA and BJMP said the result reflects their commitment to keeping jail facilities drug-free, safe, and secure.*
