Two siblings were found dead after being stabbed by unidentified suspects in Sitio Mantuhod, Brgy. Cabacungan, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, on Friday, Nov. 17.
Jason Moreno, 29, and his brother Lito, 24, of Brgy. Upper Linothangan, Canlaon City, Negros Oriental, were found dead and already in a state of decomposition, the police reported.
A resident found the body of Jason but when the police arrived they also discovered the remains of Lito 50 meters away.
Jason had a stab wound below his chest, the police said.
Incoming Brgy. Cabacungan Capt. Marvin Escander told DIGICAST NEGROS that the Moreno siblings are from Canlaon and were just visiting a friend in the barangay.
He said that Jason’s live-in partner had reported to the police that he was missing on Tuesday, Nov. 14.
The victims were identified by the live-in partner, Escander said.
The victims were brought to Funeraria L. Nalagon in Brgy. 4 Poblacion, Moises Padilla, Neg. Occ. and will be subjected to post-mortem examination and autopsy, the police said.*
