Two most wanted persons facing rape charges were arrested in separate operations in Negros Oriental and Siquijor, the police said Wednesday, April 8.
The eighth most wanted person in the Negros Island Region was arrested in Dumaguete City on Tuesday, April 7.
The suspect, identified as alias “Tong,” 30, is facing charges for qualified rape of a minor and was allegedly involved in the sexual abuse of his niece.
He was arrested in a manhunt operation conducted by the Dauin police and is now under their custody for proper legal disposition.
In a separate operation on April 8, the ninth regional most wanted person was also arrested in Lazi, Siquijor.
The suspect, identified as alias “Jhon,” 50, is facing three counts of rape with no bail recommended.
The police said the suspect allegedly abused his victim on multiple occasions.
He was arrested by Lazi police with the support of the regional intelligence units and is now under custody.*
