Two Negrenses have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the sale of dangerous drugs to policemen.
Bacolod Regional Trial Court Branch 52 Judge Raymond Joseph Javier meted life terms on Hernando Pabiana Posadas Jr. of Talisay City and Noel Miguel Dadivas, alias Nognog, of Bacolod City, for the sale of shabu in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2022 and ordered them to pay fines of P500,000 each.
Posadas was found guilty for the sale .104 gram of shabu to a police-poseur buyer for P500 at Hacienda Carmen, Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City, on Sept. 5, 2020.
On his arrest an additional .715 gram of shabu was recovered from his possession for which he was sentenced to 12 years and 8 months as minimum to 17 years and 8 months as maximum imprisonment and to pay a fine of P300,000.
Posadas, who is a former “Tokhang” surrenderee, was working as a job order casual at the Talisay City government on his arrest, the court was told.
Dadivas was sentenced to life imprisonment for the sale .161 gram of shabu for P500 to a police poseur buyer at Purok Sigay, Barangay 2, Bacolod, on Sept. 23, 2022.
On his arrest 23.567 grams of shabu was recovered from his possession for which he was sentenced to suffer the penalty of another life imprisonment and to pay a fine of P400,000.
The judge ordered the immediate transfer of Posadas and Dadivas to the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City for the service of their sentences.
He also the turnover of the seized drugs to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 6 for destruction.*
