Two men were injured in a hacking incident during a drinking session in Brgy. Sag-ang, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday night, April 14.
The victims, aged 41 and 31, were rushed to a rural health unit before being transferred to a hospital in Bacolod City for further treatment.
Investigation showed the victims were drinking at a residence when the suspect’s brother allegedly arrived and initiated a fistfight.
Authorities said the suspect, identified as alias “Erning,” later retrieved a bladed weapon and attacked the victims.
One victim sustained hack wounds on the head and body, while the other suffered an injury on the leg.
The suspect was apprehended by barangay tanods and turned over to responding police officers.*
