Two women who tested positive for COVID-19 tampered with their RT-PCR test results in order to board a ship from Manila to Bacolod City, Zeaphard Caelian, Provincial Incident Management Team head, said Friday, January 21.
They arrived on a 2GO vessel at the BREDCO Port in Bacolod City Wednesday night and were caught with the tampered RT-PCR test results, he said.
The test results said the two women were detected to have COVID-19, but they added the word not to detected to make it appear that they had negative results, he said.
However, when the QR codes of their test results were scanned it was discovered that they had tested positive, Caelian said.
The two who were headed for Cauayan, Negros Occidental, were brought to the Silay Healing Center in Silay City where they will be quarantined, he added.
The incident was recorded in a police blotter report and forwarded to the Provincial Legal Office for proper legal action, Caelian said.*
