One hundred twenty-six couples in the third district of Negros Occidental celebrated Valentine’s Day by getting married on Monday, February 14.
Mass weddings were officiated by Silay City Mayor Mark Golez and EB Magalona Mayor Marvin Malacon.
The free mass weddings were held for couples, some of whom have lived together for a long time, who could not afford to get married, Golez said.
Golez officiated at the mass wedding of 87 couples at the Natalio Velez Sports and Cultural Center in Silay City.
Malacon said 39 couples also exchanged marriage vows at the EB Magalona public plaza.*
