Eleven policemen were injured after they figured in an accident in Barangay Caningay, Candoni , Negros Occidental, 11 a.m. Monday, November 28.
The injured policemen of the 604th Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB-6) are patrolmen Jerome Tolentino, Joey Bana-ag, Eric Abela, Bryan Ambaja, Emam James and Jared King Dadivas, and corporals Mark Jel Salazar, John Arevalo, Reggie Tacdoro, Noriel Vergara and Kenneth Valiao.
The policemen were conducting a road patrol when the brakes of their vehicle malfunctioned as it was going down a curvy road, a police report said.
This caused the police driver to lose control of the vehicle, which hit a barrier on the side of the road and overturned.
Eleven of the 16 passengers sustained injuries.
The policemen were immediately taken to the Candoni Rural Health Unit for treatment.*
