More than 320 additional police personnel from Siquijor and Western Visayas are now in Bacolod City to reinforce security and public safety operations for the MassKara Festival highlight weekend, the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) confirmed.
The second batch of augmentation forces — 300 from Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) and 20 from the Siquijor Police Provincial Office — formally reported for duty following an accounting and pre-deployment briefing held on Thursday, Oct. 16, at the BCPO Covered Gym.
BCPO City Director, PCol. Joeresty P. Coronica, said the deployment of additional personnel will enhance police visibility, ensure effective crowd management, and maintain peace and order as the festival nears its end.
“These reinforcements will help secure Bacolod during the most festive phase of the MassKara celebration. With our partners from Siquijor and Western Visayas, we are confident that the festival will remain safe and orderly for everyone,” Coronica said.*
