WV fireworks-related injuries increase to 34, DOH reports

The number of fireworks-related injuries in Western Visayas from Dec. 21 to 28 increased to 34 on Thursday, the Department of Health (DOH) reported.

The six new cases involved two patients with blast burns and four with eye injuries.

There were no reported cases of fireworks ingestion or stray bullet injuries, the DOH said.

The DOH is urging the public to usher in the New Year staying healthy, safe and happy.
