The Police Regional Office-6 reported that they arrested 114 alleged drug suspects and seized P11.25 million in suspected illegal drugs in a weeklong operation in Western Visayas from Aug. 5 to 11.
The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office had the highest number of arrests with 43 followed by the Iloilo City Police with 18, Iloilo PPO – 16, and Bacolod CPO – 15.
Capiz PPO had 7 arrests, Aklan PPO – 5, Antique and Guimaras PPOs – 4 each, and Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit – 2.
The BCPO also recorded the biggest single drug haul with the recovery of approximately 300 grams of suspected shabu worth P2.04 million and the arrest of three high value individuals in Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, on Saturday, August 11.
The suspects are now under police custody and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, PRO-6 added.*
