A woman sustained serious injuries after she was hacked multiple times by her live-in partner during a domestic altercation in Sitio Pabrica Ele, Brgy. Polo, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, about 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, the police said.
The 49-year-old victim was inside their home when a brief conversation with the suspect escalated into a violent attack, the police reported.
Without warning, the man allegedly grabbed a bolo and repeatedly struck the woman in the face and head.
The assault continued as the suspect reportedly kicked the victim in the abdomen, causing her to fall.
Despite her injuries, the woman managed to flee and sought help from a neighbor who immediately called 911 for police assistance.
Authorities have already arrested the suspect.
The victim is currently receiving medical treatment as police continue their investigation.*
