
A woman and a newborn baby were found dead in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 1 and 2.
Residents found a baby girl, believed to be newly-born, inside a plastic bag in Purok Kaburihan at about 11 a.m. on Wednesday.
The baby was about 7 to 8 months old and was found with its placenta and umbilical cord still attached, the Bacolod Police Station 4 investigator said.
The police are still determining who left the baby.
The baby was placed in a box, blessed in a Church and buried at the Granada Public Cemetery.
Meanwhile, an unidentified woman in an advanced state of decomposition was found in a vacant lot at Sofia Gonzaga Avenue on Tuesday.
The victim was about 5 feet 4 inches tall, the police said.*
