A 28-year-old woman was stabbed to death by her husband in Sitio Batang, Brgy. T-hill, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, on Tuesday afternoon, Aug. 19, the police reported.
The police said the victim was a 28-year-old resident of Sitio Batang who sustained fatal stab wounds and was rushed to the Gov. William “Billy” Villegas Memorial Hospital where she was declared dead.
The suspect, 31, voluntarily surrendered at the Guihulngan City Police Station at around 7:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Police records showed that the suspect admitted to stabbing his wife at 4:20 p.m. on Tuesday allegedly due to jealousy.
Moments after his surrender, the Guihulngan police received a phone call from the hospital reporting that a woman with stab wounds had been brought in.*
