A city-level most wanted person was arrested by the police at Roxas Street in Brgy. Poblacion 1, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday morning, Jan. 20.
The police identified the suspect as Regie Dequilla, also known as “Jerry,” 50, a trisikad driver and resident of Brgy. Poblacion 1.
The Sagay City Police Station said the arrest was made at around 11:32 a.m. through a search operation led by its tracker team.
The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrants of arrest for three counts of acts of lasciviousness under Article 366 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610.
Police said the warrants were issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 73 in Sagay City on Jan. 19, with a recommended bail of P10,000 for each count.
He is currently under custody of the Sagay City Police Station for proper disposition.*
