Voters’ registration final week kicks off at USLS Coliseum

The final week for the registration of voters for the 2022 elections in Bacolod City is being held at the University of St. La Salle Coliseum in Bacolod City, Election Officer Katrina Trinio Caña said Monday, October 25.

The satellite registration at the USLS Coliseum started Monday and will end on October 30, she said.

Registration is being held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

They can accommodate 350 walk-in registrants, and 100 in the priority lane, Caña said.

If there are additional people who arrive at the priority lane they can also accommodate them if there is time left, she said

The priority lane is for senior citizens, persons with disabilities and pregnant women.

There was a long line of people who lined up to register at the USLS Coliseum on Monday.

For a more convenient registration, it is suggested to accomplish the application forms prior to going onsite, a Comelec advisory said.

Voter registration application forms are available at www.comelec.gov.ph, which registrants can download, printout, and fill-out, she said.

They can also accomplish an online form at www.irehistro.comelec.gov.ph or fill out application forms available onsite.

Meanwhile, the Election Registration Board has deliberated on the opposition to 35 voter registration applications in Bacolod City, Caña said.

There were originally oppositions filed against 99 applicants, but 64 were withdrawn, she said.*
