The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will resume its registration of voters on December 12, Negros Occidental Elections Supervisor, Ian Lee Ananoria, said Friday, November 25.
They are waiting for the Comelec resolution that will set the guidelines for the registration but have received advance information that it will start on December 12, he said.
It is expected to end on Jan. 31, 2023.
The Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections are set on October 30, 2023.
Those aged 15 to 30 years old can vote in the SK elections, and those aged 18 years old and above in the barangay elections.
An SK voter must be 15 years old on Election Day, he said.
The Comelec is also set to implement its Register Anywhere Program (RAP) but he does not know if Negros Occidental and Bacolod are included among the pilot areas, Ananoria said.*
