Victorias Milling Co. (VMC) has tightened security at its distillery in Barangay Purisima, Manapla, Negros Occidental, after improvised explosive devices were discovered a few meters away from the facility.
“We seek the cooperation of residents and our employees to be on alert for people who are seemingly planning to stir violence in the area”, a VMC statement on Friday, March 4, said.
A police report said the dynamite was recovered at Hacienda Candelaria, Barangay Purisima, on February 26.
Jose Mario Doromay, a security guard, was on patrol when he discovered two bottles of improvised dynamite about 500 meters from behind the distillery’s power plant, the police report said.*
