Victorias Sidlak Kadalag-an dancers to conquer nat’l stage

The Victorias City Sidlak Kadalag-an Festival dancers who recently won the city’s first-ever championship title in the Panaad sa Negros Festival Dance Competition are competing for this year’s Aliwan Fiesta on Saturday, July 15.

The Sidlak Kadalag-an dancers are representing both Victorias City and Negros Occidental in the Aliwan Fiesta, the country’s grandest festival, a press release from Victorias City said Friday.

There are a total of 13 contingents vying for this year’s festival dance championship.

On Thursday, July 13, it was announced that Kadalag-an dancers will be the second performers in the Aliwan Fiesta competition.

It will be held at the Aliw Theatre, CCP Complex, Pasay City, at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez urges Victoriahanons to show their support for the Kadalag-an dancers who are about to make history on the national stage.

This year’s Aliwan Fiesta is highly anticipated as they are making their comeback after a four-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It’s the first time Victorias City is bringing the Kadalag-an Festival Dance to the annual Aliwan Fiesta. *
