A senior citizen, who was resting at a waiting shed, died after a delivery van accidentally hit him in Bangga Pedion, Brgy. Tabao Proper, Valladolid, Negros Occidental, on Thursday, August 8.
The victim, identified as Arnaldo Amboboyog, 62, of Brgy. Bagumbayan, Valladolid, was hit by the delivery van driven by Albert Dela Cruz, 46, of Brgy. Miranda, Pontevedra, the police reported.
Valladolid Police Chief, Maj. Eric Doronilla, said that the delivery van was going to Isabela town, and was tailing a motorcycle.
When it attempted to overtake the vehicle, the motorcycle suddenly turned to the left causing the van to avoid it.

Valladolid Traffic Enforcer Larry Tordecillas said that the victim was just resting at the waiting shed after jogging around the area before the accident.
