A driver died while his companion was injured when their wing van fell on its side in Sitio Kansalakan, Brgy. Banwague, Guihulngan City, Negros Oriental, on Monday, Nov. 11.
Jomar Balinsi died and his companion Melbert Riyatasan was injured, the police reported.
The vehicle came from Bacolod City and travelled to Guihulngan via the Isabela road.
The van was travelling downhill when it fell on its side, the police said.
The victims, who are from Bacolod City, were brought by the Guihulngan City Rescue Team to the Gov. Willam Villegas Memorial Hospital but the driver was declared dead on arrival.*
