
The first locally made tractor manufactured by RU Foundry and Machine Shop Corporation was turnover to Central Philippines State University at its main campus in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Wednesday, September 15.
The tractor was turned over by RU- EcoAgri Foundation president Ramon Uy Sr. and executive director Danny Moraca to CPSU president – Dr. Aladino Moraca, Dr. Fernando D. Abello – vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Mae Flor G. Posadas – vice president for research and extension and Engineer Alfredo U. Castro Jr. – Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering program head.
Uy said the first locally made tractor, is under licensing by Cleber Tractor, USA, for research and development, testing and documentation on durability, performance on local terrain and possible production in the school by students.
The tractor development and servicing partnership of RU Foundry Machine Shop Corp., CPSU and EcoAgri Foundation Inc. is geared towards research, development and production, Uy said.*
