USLS excels in electronics engineers, technicians board examinations

Jon Marc Torred placed fifth in the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination in October.*

A University of St. La Salle-Bacolod graduate ranked fifth in the Electronics Engineers Licensure Examination in October, USLS announced on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Jon Marc Torred, placed fifth with an average of 86.90 percent, and was the only Negrense to be in the top 10 list.

In the Electronics Engineers board exam, USLS also reported an overall passing rate of 38.71 percent, exceeding the national average of 33.36 percent.

Other electronics engineer passers from USLS were Kalvin Barcelona, Ryan Bignotia, Jhustine Cañete, Wendel Ryan Castor, Kryzl Deceo, Matthew Prinze Lim, Jana Beatrice Peña, Andrei Philippe Rodero, Andrew Salado, Christian Jay Suñga, and Mary Gracelle Villaruz.

Meanwhile, in the Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination, 22 Lasallians also passed with a passing rate of 88 percent.

This percentage exceeded the national passing rate of 73.52 percent.*
