An unidentified dead body was discovered floating in the waters off Brgy. Look, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, Tuesday morning, Sept. 30.
The police said a fisherman spotted the body around 8:10 a.m. and immediately alerted the Bantay Dagat, who brought the body to shore and informed authorities.
The Calatrava Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management personnel relayed the report to the police, who dispatched an alert team and investigator to the area.
The victim remains unidentified and is believed to be a non-resident, possibly carried to Calatrava by ocean currents.
The body was brought to Calatrava District Hospital for post-mortem examination.*
