Ubiquity expands at NFCC

Ubiquity Global Services, a business process outsourcing firm, has further expanded the area it is leasing at the Negros First CyberCentre (NFCC) in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Monday, August 2.

Ubiquity Phase 5 is expanding its employee capacity by 350 but at its soft opening Monday it started with about 100, he said.

Diaz said the feedback from the NFCC tenants is that they are happy that the provincial government has taken over the management of the facility and is taking care of their needs.

The Capitol took over the NFCC management from Negros Property Management and Development Corp. (NPMDC) in July.

Diaz said there are arrears in the payment of the NFCC water bills for the last six months totaling P1.9 million.

He said they are negotiating with NPMDC to honor their obligation to pay the arrears in the water bills.*
