Two TUP-V graduates top ECT licensure examination

Two graduates of the Technological University of the Philippines-Visayas (TUP-V) in Talisay City, Negros Occidental, topped the April 2025 Electronics Technicians Licensure Examination.

Jayvee Fuentebella and Jan Frederick Valenton both landed in first place with a rating of 95 percent, the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC) said on Friday, April 11.

They were scholars of the Department of Science and Technology.

TUP-V graduate Bryan Mc Perry Guillang was also ranked eighth in the Electronics Engineers examination with an average of 90.3 percent.

The TUPV was the number one and number two top performing school in the latest Electronics Technicians (ECT) and Electronics Engineer (ECE) Licensure Examinations, respectively, the PRC said.

TUP-V was named the ECT top performing school with 78 of its 81 graduates having passed the licensure examination with a 96.30 percent passing rate.

There were 1,971 graduates nationwide out of 2,411 who passed the ECT Licensure Examination.

The PRC said 67 out of 76 TUP-V graduates also passed the ECE examination making it the second top performer after the University of the Philippines-Dilliman.

The PRC also announced that 1,280 out of 2,820 passed the ECE Licensure Examination nationwide.
