Two Negros police stations hold turnover ceremonies

The turnover rites in Hinigaran*

The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOcPPO) held two turnover of office ceremonies for its municipal and city police stations in Hinigaran and La Carlota City on Wednesday, Oct. 15.

In Hinigaran, Acting NOCPPO Director Col. Dennis Wenceslao, officiated the turnover between Lt. Col. Eduardo B. Corpuz, outgoing chief, and Lt. Col. Jovil M. Sedel, the new chief of Hinigaran Municipal Police Station.

During the ceremony, Corpuz expressed his gratitude to Mayor Mary Grace Arceo and the Hinigaran MPS personnel for their support throughout his term.

Sedel, in his message, emphasized the importance of courage and compassion in police service as he officially assumed leadership of the station.

Meanwhile, in La Carlota City, Wenceslao also presided over the turnover of command between Lt. Col. Lymel John H. Pasquin, outgoing chief, and LtCol. Corpuz, who officially took over as the new chief of La Carlota City Police Station.

Pasquin thanked the local government and the personnel of La Carlota CCPS for their cooperation during his term.

Corpuz, who previously served in Hinigaran, stressed the need for unity and teamwork in maintaining peace and order.*
