Two persons were stabbed to death and four others were injured in Talisay City, San Carlos City and Isabela town in Negros Occidental on Sunday, Nov. 17.
A man was stabbed to death and three others were injured in a commotion at Sitio Balogo, Brgy. Concepcion, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
The 58-year-old man and resident of Sitio Bokbok, Barangay Concepcion, succumbed to multiple stab wounds inflicted by a 48-year-old suspect, the police said, but withheld their names.
The wife and brother of the suspect, and another man, whose names were also withheld by the police, were also injured during the commotion.
Investigation revealed that the suspect and his brother were having a drinking session when the two other victims passed by their house and called the suspect.
Suddenly, a heated argument and fight ensued.
A pursuit operation was conducted by the police resulting in the arrest of the suspect who is now detained at the Talisay City Police Station.
IN ISABELA
A man was also stabbed dead by a sugar mill employee in Sitio Antiquera, Brgy. Guitubhan, Isabela, Negros Occidental, on Sunday, Nov. 17, the police said.
Agustin Bajala, 34, died after he was stabbed by Jose Rene Zamora, 54, a security driver of BISCOM Sugar Co., the police said.
The victim and the suspect were at a drinking session when a fight ensued. The suspect drew his bladed weapon but was pacified, the police said.
However, moments later the the suspect stabbed the victim in the armpit.
The victim was brought to the Ignacio Arroyo Memorial District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.
The police arrested the suspect after a pursuit operation. He is now detained at the Isabela Police Station.
IN SAN CARLOS CITY
A construction worker who was supposed to get his salary was stabbed by his site manager in Brgy. 4, San Carlos City.
Ranto Abitona Jr., 20, was injured after he was stabbed by Windsor Patiag, 30, site manager and a resident of Tarlac City and temporarily residing in Brgy. 4, San Carlos City.
Investigation revealed that the victim went to the suspect’s place to ask for his salary.
However, the suspect handed him a P100 bill which prompted the victim to confront him resulting to a commotion.
The suspect took a knife and stabbed the victim in the back.
The victim was rushed to the San Carlos City Hospital and the suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police and is now detained at the San Carlos Police Station.*
