Two fall in separate anti-drug operations

Two high-value individuals were arrested and more than P1.4 million in suspected shabu was seized in separate police operations in Bacolod City and Pamplona, Negros Oriental.

In Bacolod City, an operation by the City Drug Enforcement Unit led to the arrest of a 52-year-old woman identified as alias “Inday/Tats” in Purok Lampirong, Brgy. 2, at around 8:38 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 11.

Police said she yielded around 105 grams of suspected shabu valued at P714,000, along with a buy-bust item, nine additional sachets, P1,000 marked money, and other non-drug items.

The suspect, tagged as a high-value individual, will face charges for violating Sections 5 (selling) and 11 (possession) of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Meanwhile, in Pamplona, Negros Oriental, operatives of the PNP Drug Enforcement Group–SOU NIR, supported by the Pamplona police, served a search warrant at Sitio Cantilo, Brgy. Mangoto at 5:35 a.m. Friday, December 12.

A newly identified high-value target was arrested, and authorities seized more or less 103 grams of suspected shabu valued at P700,400, along with non-drug evidence. *
